Nice historic trail, easy and with a fantastic reward at the end, the Shipman beach. Path is muddy but there is plenty of alternative sideway, which is better. Nonetheless I would choose dry weather to do this hike.

Beautiful hike through the redwood forest. Unfortunately I missed the proper trail back, so be patient when the trail comes to the dirt road to find a trail back to the forest. But also walking on the dirt road was okay.
