North from campsite up to Waipoli Road, north to Lower Waiohuli Trail left on Boundary Trail, left on Redwood Trail (after detouring along Plum Trail to old bunkhouse). Lots of hydrangea around abandoned Ranger Cabin.
Head north from the campsite on the Redwood Trail, turn left at the Tie Trail, left at Plum Trail, left at Haleakala Ridge Trail, then left again at Polipoli Trail. Lots of birds including the elusive I'ivi.
