    Some waypoints: - Mangatepopo Hut (1.5 km) - Red Crater (10.3 km) - Blue Lake (11.7 km) The climb to Mt. Ngauruhoe is really steep and with lots of loose rock. Like, really steep. And like, lots of really loose rock.

    Beautiful landscape. You can see both sides along the way: Mount Ruapehu and Tongariro Mountain. Easy to follow and very well maintained trail. I made the loop clockwise, you see the best view of the Fall in your way up.
