To get to this mountain you need to have a 4X4 car for the F road that gets you there. The mountain is quite steep with a lot of loose rock and gravel, the view on the top is fantastic.
Big route, take care and do not lose the path. When arrive Glymur there is a tree over the river so you can cross if you go right.
Wend hiking up to Kálfatindar, the mountain that contains Laugarvatnshellir. Sunny and beautiful day. The rock type is Tuya, a rough surface and sort of sand-ish.
Easy hike, it is not a good idea to continue further than the track ends. The big rock between Reyðarbarmur and Kálfstindar is not climbable without proper equipment and experience.
