    The water was high which made it hard to stay in the channel. Enjoyed the twists and turns but not so much the low branches.

    Cold Miser paddle. Ice makes an eerie sound when a canoe wake rolls under it. I moved faster on land than I did on the water today. Still nice to get out this afternoon.

    Creek was running at only 54 cfps. (avg is 100). Logs, sand bars and shallow water from start to finish made for a hard race.

    Took a C1 out for a paddle today for the first time of any real distance. I struggled to keep a straight line and braced more than I'd like to admit but really really enjoyed it.

    Great conditions! A few boats out; 3 kayaks, a surfski, 2 lifeguard row boats and only a handful of power boats. I would have spent more time in the ocean if I had company.

    Finally, I did not paddle alone! Started at 10am under mostly cloudy skies. Clouds broke around 10:30 and we enjoyed sunny skies for the rest of the paddle. No gloves in February!

    Fun paddle out to nun buoy and back. Saw large schools of fish and dolphins. Caught two decent waves on way in.
