Paddling on the D&R was interesting given that it was the first day of trout season.
2 hr, 11 mile calorie burn paddle. Glad to see normal levels once again in the D&R canal.
Beat the heat wave by paddling early.
Rafting :: New Jersey - Pennsylvania
Grew L, Will R, Greg S and Me in Ron's C4.
I think I saw everything Hype saw on the Mantua Creek. Very shallow most of the way.
Low 40s, sunny, no wind, and ice on banks.
Pre-race paddle, 70 degrees, no wind, lots of leaves. The boat ran well.
Outgoing tide made it interesting going out and back in through the inlet.
Hit the wall and kept hitting it until the end. 50 degrees, slight breeze and some sun.
Started on the D&R but it was stinky so I portaged over to Carnegie Lake.
Sunny, breezy and company on the water. Passed 2 canoes and several kayaks, good to see.
Boat traffic out of Shark River Inlet was heavy. Waves about 1-2' with light NNE wind.
