Trail ascends to the Hveradilar geothermal area. The geothermal area is accessible by car, so lots of tourists there, but no one on the rest. It was snowing quite a bit on July 29. So be prepared.
I rated this as moderate because the Kerlingarfjöl hringur can be very muddy and very slippery, hiking poles are very recommended. Also, we didn't go all the way to Hverabotn, only to the point of view.
