A wonderful, mostly downward hike full of beautiful sights. Recommend when the mountains are not as foggy. I didn't get to witness the amazing view from the top. But I did see pieces as the fog chopped up.
5h to go 4:30h back. Needs a good physical condition. Some path need to use hands. Some path are equiped with chains to help.
Great hike, tough climb up the mountain, once on top easy to moderate. amazing view on the ridge and the Transfagarşn
Custura Saratii is a difficult portion of the trail - there's quite a few areas with chains or cables. Otherwise, the rest of the trail is moderate.

Very long and challenging route. We started at 08.30 and got there at 19.00. We had heavy backpacks (10kg and 13kg). I don't recommend doing this route with that kind of backpack unless you are very experienced.

One of the tallest peak in Romania at 2517m. The ascent is quite steep and without stop but it's worth the effort. From the Laspezi peak it is possible to reach the Negoiu peak on about 2h.
Our hike ended when we got a ride from a nice lady. Stats are little warped because WikiLoc was on in the car for a bit.
This is my slow hike from Balea Lake to Negoiu Peak. It is not an easy route but can be done easily during summer.
From Refugio Podragu to Modoveanu, and further to Refugio Balea Lac. You pass several peaks. On the track there are possibilities for camping. The technical challanges are not so big, but the distance is quite far.
