Easy trail with great views of Lesotho and a nice picnic spot. Trail leeds you to a scenic area with a rock pool and through a small forest area.
A bit strenuous but very rewarding, watch a lot af various antelope, then steep down through swamp areas to a dam wall and enjoying the ice cold water, back again through swamp areas.
A worth while detour to take in the views and the game of the area in the comfort of one's own car. Includes stop at the vulture feeding program hide. Reffered to as the Blesbok and Oribi Loops
Wow what a surprise this little loop had install - a must do trail of the area. Short but highly enjoyable. Not suitable to children under 10 would be our guess.

Moderate hike, scenic views along the river with a short poplar forest section before you make your way up the stone wall to the cave.
Challenging circular route underfoot with some great views of the surrounding countryside. Be sure to carry water, food and sun protection.
An extremely tough trail run through the hills of the Vredefort Dome. Not the easiest of surfaces to run on. That last mineshaft at the end of the profile was really that bad.

A run on the farm dirt roads through the farm. The route was changed at the last minute due to flooding. They plan to change the run to a circular route.

Lovely garden for a short hike around. Good for picknic. Restaurant seems to be closed. Toilets available. 50 rand entrance (2024)
I decided to run the route in a different direction to see how it compares. It may be slightly more difficult because you end up running the last 1.5km mainly "uphill" to the finish.
Follow the red trail through the forest and take a left turn to the lookout point for a spectacular view of the valley. Then follow the markers back as you link back up to the red trail.
Pleasant run along the banks of the Vaal river. All offroad. A loop within a loop to make up the distance. A pity the route is short.
