    Part of the hike was along the beach. This was not necessary, but interesting. There are some old Coast Guard buildings along the trail. The trail ends at the inlet to the harbour.

    Drilled dozens of holes along this path. Got a consistent 5+ inches on old ice and 4+" on new black ice.

    Trail heavily used by horses ... trail wasn't as squishy/soft mud as it appeared ... must watch step with combo of horses and drying mud for potential missteps

    Went up the to Rum River State Forest to help look for a lost dog. Turned out, he was only 1000 feet or so away...but across on the other side of the marsh!
