Shorter walk from the car park at Arger Fen, crossing the Stour near Whiston then up through Wormingford with lunch at the Thatcher Arms in Mount Bures. Quite a lot hillier than you might expect.

Starting at Arger Fen, probably the best day of the Stour Valley path walk through quiet Essex and Suffolk countryside. The Anchor in Nayland would be a good stopping point assuming that pubs make it through covid.
