Total distance from start to end of the hike is 15.5 Km, ignore the last 6 Km from the map as I forgot to turn the App off when returning to parking lot. Amazing hike and breathtaking views.
Really nice hike! Weekends it’s kind of packed though. I suggest to do the hike clockwise (like here) so you end up in the lake. The first part is a bit steep but after the first 7km everything is downhill.

Lately the Wikiloc app is recording “ghost” trails and adding extra distance (about 2 km here), sorry, other than that, the track is correct. An easy hike with nice views, ideal for beginners and even for children.

We first took the cable car up from Rodelbahn (Kandersteg) to Gondelbahn Kandersteg Oeschinensee. As the last cable car down was at 5pm, we hiked back down to Kandersteg.
