Plenty of hiking options in this area. There are dirt 4wd tracks or animal trails you can follow. It is possible to also hike right after the ridge to Malakan village, but we were not in the mood for more climb

Not a great trip up as we ended up with mines. You can follow the start of this trail, but don't leave the trail where we did! I will try again and map a new route.
Bring your own ropes, carribinas etc and climb the few routes set here. Or head up the mountain for an awesome walk. You can go much further than I did but I didn't have time for more.
As you can see I veered from the previous trail and didn’t go all the way up. It was a great hike. Recommend it. There was more shade than I thought there would be.
