I track my walks with a Polar heartbeat strap/ watch, this way I have a very good reference for how hard a walk is. The Calories measured are done based on age and weight. Those are my personal parameters. Further on frequency of heartbeat and time. This way it is nice to compare my walks. 1000 calories is equal to about a one hour training for running. I.e. interval and exercises. For sendirismo this translates to an Easy walk. A difficult walk goes for about 3000 cals, and a moderate walk in the range of 2000 cals. Just to give an idea about difficulty.
