I'm American but have lived most of my life overseas except for university and graduate school years in Minnesota. Have lived in Valencia, Spain since 2014; and before that in Japan - Hiroshima (early childhood) and Tokyo (teen & adult years) -- for 45+ years. Enjoy walking in Valencia (a beautiful city for that) and nearby coastal and mountain walks / hikes (beautiful mountains and beaches nearby). Walked a short section of the Camino De Santiago, Frances route (last 115 kms from Sarria), in April 2023 and am now intent on doing more stages up in northern Spain as well as other Camino routes elsewhere on the Iberian peninsula. As of this writing (December 2023), I have done 11 Camino stages as day walks very close to home, the Levante and La Lana routes starting at the Cathedral in Valencia and also the Camino route that starts out of nearby Sagunto.
