The roads are closed for almost the entirety of this ride on weekends between 0800 and 1800. I ride this with my kids aged 7 to 10 years old.
Easy to moderate biking lanes can be ridden with young children before 9AM. Traffic can get pretty stressful through the heart of the city afterward.
