This paddle is best done around high tide since there are plenty of oyster beds in the marshes. At low tide it is better to stay in the Intracoastal Waterway as long as possible.

SO much lovely water and little wind made the trek so pleasant. Huge and many dolphin at beginning-good omen. But of wind upon return. Couramonts , Egret, Ibis, ?swallows? In the marsh.
