Colvin and Blake. Unfortunately the app had trouble stopping to save for some reason. I saved the track since there were some notable trail junctions marked on the trail.

A long loop trail to Mt. Colving in the high peak region. Due to lack of time I didn't get to the actual Colving peak before returning. The trail starts along the Ausable river and visits a few waterfalls, before crossin...

Very nice hike, not too long and not too hard. Going up on the Stimson trail you need good cleats as there is lots of fast ice. Comming down on the other side, snow shoes will do.
I suggest doing the loop clockwise. It would probably be safer. The scenic part of the trail was quite beautiful, but it was slippery and poorly marked.

A classic Adirondack hike, very technical, especially in early winter with slippery icy rocks. Gear: Good, isolated hiking boots; Crampons; If snow is present, snowshoes are mandatory by the ADK rules.
A traverse of the Wolfjaws, Armstrong, and Gothics. One of the most spectacular hikes in the Adirondacks.
C'est l'une des plus belles randos des Highs Peaks (à mon avis) en considérant la distance/effort. Nombreux ... nombreux... caps rocheux offrant des panoramas spectaculaires et les sommets sont tout simplement magnifique...
The day before the hike, there were torrential rains. That made Gill Brook very spectacular. But on the day of the hike the trails were wet, muddy and very slippery. That explains why we were so slow… At 19h00 the batter...
Les premiers 7 km sont plutôt faciles. Les 4 km suivants pour atteindre le sommet sont techniquement facile, mais demandent beaucoup d'énergie et surtout d'attention pour éviter de glisser et chuter. Le parcours se fait ...
