A very nice trail with shallow gradient. We only did two miles as the weather was bad (raining heavy) and we kept having to take boots off to cross the creek.
On this leg there’s a lot of ascents and descents between the green valleys and the ridgelines/hilltops, the latter providing good views. This section goes through the Beaverhead/Deerlodge and Salmon National Forest.
Another scenic hiking day on the border line between Idaho/Montana - ascending and descending hilltops. Great views for the most part of the day.
