A pleasant hike through green woods and meadows on good trails. On this leg the CDT merges with the Wyoming Trail.
Beautiful and scenic hiking-day through Routt National Forest and Mt. Zirkel Wilderness. First up on high elevations with good views, then down a green valley, followed by a hike along streams and creeks.
Short, beautiful hike between Summit, Jonas, Whale, and Marthas Lakes near Steamboat Springs. Much of the hiking was off-trail, but not much bushwacking.
Drive the really rough road to base camp to save ~4 miles. Park at base camp. Hike 2.5 miles to Lost Lake. Great hike with beautiful wildflowers, fairly mild elevation change, to two gorgeous clear natural mountain lakes...

Snow Shoe. Bruce's trail, Rabbit Ears Pass. Knee deep powder. Battery was dead for a while, accounting for the straight line.

Steamboat Springs - such a beautifully maintained green belt into town for coffee and pastries.
Paused for a bit but an easy trail to follow. Will be more like 5.5 miles.
