Moderate gorgeous hike. Lots of everything like rocks, gravel dirt wooded trails, granite , boulders, water taxi that cuts 2.5 miles off the hike. The lakes are in constant view. Inclines are doable for creaky knees
Came out on the Triangle Lake Trail. Incredible views . We got off trail occasionally due to snow patches, particularly getting to Lake of the Woods. Use the outbound trail for it.

Hiking from Echo Lakes to Lake Aloha in the Desolation Wilderness. It's a long hike, but not terribly difficult. If you have all-day stamina it's pretty easy.
