Start in Puerto Escondido and ride the hiway north then go up into the hills and return via the road from San Pedro.

Tricky last section to the beach, track is rocky and uneven. Not too difficult though, nice short trail.

Quick easy ride from Salchi to Tahueca, onto the main road, back to Coyula, over the river to Cuatunalco and back to Salchi. Easy in winter, more challenging in summer when the river is full.
Easy to walk without a guide, if you follow this route. Bring enough water. In Amatlan you can stay overnight in the cabañas, just call or WhatsApp them 1 day in advance (Google maps has the phone number)
A fun and steep ascent at first, some rock scrambling. Then it flattens up closer to the top. Explore the fortress and keep the cross as a landmark on the way up.
