It's a 7K trail starting from Enaf Community Guest House at 3,000m high and going down a donkey trail to the Adigrat tarmac road at 2,400m. Organised by Tesfa Tour and Lucy Tour.
A tough walk, all the way up and then all the way down again, but a real sense of achievement to have climbed the hill that can be seen from anyway in Addis Ababa city. It took us 6 hours including lunch at the top.
An obvious and popular but strenuous walk up to the crater of Zuquala volcanic cone, and to see the monasteries beside this holy lake. It's a great place to camp and then to be able to walk around the crater. Ideally hav...
The best way to walk around Zuquala lake is along the rim of the crater above it. This is an easy walk, but of course getting up to the top of the mountain to start with is the tough part. So best to camp overnight at th...
An easy, circular walk that is signposted (at least at the start), and mostly on wide forest tracks in the lower parts of the hill. It starts at the park headquarters, and finishes at the same place, having walked along ...
A second option from Yaya Village http://www.yayavillage.com/ (see https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/170409-yayavillagewalk-19426445 for the shorter one), so has the same good parking and good food at the start/end. ...
Mainly Off-road ride with a amazing view over the great akaki river.very quite area. At this time (September) the river is full of water and the land is very green. So E of part of the road is muddy and filled with water...
Very nice first 10K trail from the Entoto car park to the Sululta road. Quite muddy in this season (Sept) and several creek crossing. Then after crossing Sululta tarmac road, through the Gulule Garden on a cobble stone t...
A very nice loop starting at 3,000m high, biking anticlockwise, along the Entoto ridge to the east, before riding going down north of the hill, followed by a very nice and green valley (at least in June). The end is a so...
A walk to the hot spring from the road (between Kuti and Kasha, after Gimbo, we went there with a bajaj, and on the way back we did hijacking and we found also quite fast a lift). No need of guide. The track is marked fr...
Walk through the forest near Wushwush, from a rough road just before the town. The GPS lost many times the track, unfortunately, but more or less the direction is visible. We took an almost invisible track done by people...
An easy walk along the main track to historic Koremash village. You can drive all the way to the village but it's nicer to park at the scenic viewpoint where this walk starts and then stroll the 7km to the village. Th...
Gullele botanical garden cobblestone steep hill ascent and decent with city center ride. With great view over the city from the GBG.
Very cool off road but very swampy and pot holes due to the rainy season. Very good for experienced mountain bikers with mountain or gravel bikes.
Mostly asphalt road biking and a complete off-road with great view to east of Addis. The road until legedadi town is bit crowded with cars.
The road is complete changed and now very good wide paved off-road which makes it very ideal for a mountain biking and even hiking
A great hint to help you choose your outdoor gear and clothing!
