I love driving to 1050m to start an island hike. Snow started pretty quick and the first few hundred meters were going through brush, some orange flagging to help navigate some steep sections. nice snow hiking from there...
yuck, rain and clouds. I hoped to find logging roads to the west but no luck. all the bridges are closed. from the climbing area there is a flagged route, you can tell there is a faint trail but still bush to go through....

A grind up to the Ridge to walk along a rolling ridge line over to Elkhorn. The second chute in the basin to include the "Chimney" and fun repelling all of the wat down!

heading up to Arnica Lake and over Philips ridge is a lot of ups and downs on a clear trail/path (most of the time). great views on the ridge that never ends
First Winter Ascent. skinned to the cut block then snow shoes through the forrest. should have skied the whole way up as the powder was great but tough slogging
