    2nd to Erik and Bob who were in a C2. I was in the 2nd wave of three with 1 minute lapse in between waves. Erik and Bob were in the 3rd wave.

    5 boats and 8 paddlers, Gary, Ross, Ed, Chip, Chris, Greg, Erik and I - down river run. 3 or 4 portages and several stops to watch fellow paddlers run a rapid.

    My speed from start to the turn up river at the Drexel "D" was 7.5 mph or better. After the turn and up river my speed varied between 6 and 7, 6 while paddling on the ama side. My average for the piece was 7. Felt great ...
