Doc website says it is advanced level but actually it is quite nice and easy. I did not record some route by mistake. It took me around 3 hours including break time.
Very simple hiking from Tarawera lake to its waterfalls. The track runs along Tarawera river bank and it is very well marked. Enjoying a simple route in the lovely Tarawera forest.
To walk through Tarawera crater you must hire a guide service at Kaitiaki Tours, because it is a sacred Maori mountain. Anyway, worth it. Culture knowledgeable guides make it fun as well as interesting.
This is a partial registry. Aparentemently, it is a difficult trail. However, if you are an experienced hiker, I should say it is moderate.
