Nice winter hike with our team (JTT) Going through the lower trail of Wadi Himara then moving to the Mid trail
Lovely hike descending down the mountains from mount neebo to the dead sea. We hitchhiked the last part from the asphalt road to the dead sea.
Moderate trail, mostly all on paved path. The caves are a bit outside of this trail, make sure you don’t miss it on your way back from the main road.

Very easy track with great views towards Dana village, wadi Dana and wadi Araba. At the cross there are plenty options to explore. To do this track you have to pay the entrance fee of the Rumana camp site.

2 nice waterfalls, and trail is generally easy with a few boulders to scramble over. Looks like occasional effluent discharge entering the wadi about 2 miles from parking lot. Much evidence of algae bloom and fish kill...
A fun wadi to explore. Park in the Mövenpick or Marriot hotel parking lot. The wadi begins across the road. A stream runs in the wadi, but no parts are deep enough for swimming.
This is a semi-remote wadi that is well-worth the drive to reach it. It is lush with greenery: palms, bamboo, lichens and hanging gardens; and the water running through it (and seeping or spilling from the sides) is a pl...
Trail starts at Nawatef Camp and leads through Wadi Nawatef. It is some up and down but moderate and the views and spots are very beautiful. The way back is best done by car. A pick up should best be arranged before or y...
There is no path, just sometimes you can walk along the river but otherwise it's just about to find the only way and not kill yourself
Hiking Zarqa Ma'in lower trail with JTT with 42 participant we were able to finish the trail within the plan despite the bad weather and heavy winds.
11.12.17 Climbing Burdah bridge was difficult. I did it alone, so my trail there is little chaotic and sometimes risky. I recommend following a guide on Burdah. Would be easier and safer. The rest of the loop was easy.
This is a great trail especially in spring time. It’s highly recommended to go this trail with a group as a lot of dogs will be on your way and they attack. I also recommend to go on a cloudy day as there are no trees ...
We leave Ras Al Feid along a rocky sandstone terrain. Throughout are spectacular varying views of the barren desert landscape with surprise encounters of desert vegetation and animal life. Fauna: Striped Hyaena, Eura...
a superb hike to discover Petra and its Monastery from an (almost) secret path. We met no more than 10 people on our way to Petra, that makes quite a change compared to a main route:-) more details on : https://familyi...
Thanks to Hakim Tamimi from Tropical Desert for the hot tip. Very impresive track: really surprising flora and landscapes. Forget about the timing due to I cut and removed several parts of the track. More comments with t...

Another intensive day on this trekking, but this time mostly due to length of 18 km as well as again some steep climbs. It was 6h30 when I finally arrived at the Bedouin camp while sunset is foreseen around 7h, so time w...

2 loops centred on car parking area Ignore the extra looopy wiggles in the middle - just stay on the main track apart from around the northern hill where you follow contours
Amazing hike which has the advantage of bypassing the tourist crowd of Petra at the main entrance! Particularly the first part of the backdoor trail until the Monastery is breath-taking. Make sure to get your ticket (or ...
A hike from Khirbet al Souk heading North and following the Jordan Trail for most of the route. This is excellent hiking country, especially in Spring. Quiet wooded valleys and olive orchards. It is a sparsely populated...
