Itinerary description

The treacherous traverse from the Nedhe of Nakhind to the peak of Peb fort (Vikatgad).
This is a very rarely used traverse and it might be partly due to the risk associated with attempting it coupled with the overgrowth- A 4 metre high rock patch leads to a narrow ridge with a sheer drop of over 200 feet in the west.
The route passes through wild growth and has a steep gradient after the peak of Nakhind.
Not recommended for beginners.

Grade: Difficult
Endurance: Medium
Risk Factor: High

Very risky traverse from the Nedhe. Not recommended for amateur trekkers.

I follow your trails. I have done many of those in early years. I remember one such less known traverse. This is a Peb to Matheran traverse on the western flank. It has cliff on the left (coming from Peb) and valley on the right with some waterfall sections (but the trail is from behind the waterfalls). I had done this several decades ago and wanted to repeat it from Matheran end. But could not easily locate the trail. The current popular Matheran Peb route shares the Matheran part of the trail, but on the Peb side it goes via ladders on the Eastern flank of Peb fort. That is not the one I am referring.

I can be reached on 9819711181 or csdamle@gmail.com and we could discuss this.
