Itinerary description
This stretch of dirt road is in good condition. After km 10, the surrounding forest thickens, made up of taller, more mature trees.
The final destination is Mariana, the first capital of the territories of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, a title which was lost to Ouro Preto in 1740. The city displays an incredibly rich collection of beautiful baroque works in its churches and architecture and boasts an impressive cultural calendar which includes music and film festivals.
