Itinerary description
This trip around La Rioja combines the best the region has to offer: perfect gravel trails, tapas, famous gastronomy, high mountain and the world’s best wine (if you ask the locals).
La Rioja, a small region huddled around the Ebro river valley in northern Spain, is famous for the quality of its wines, the large amount of cultural attractions and its impressive landscapes combining large vineyards, beautiful villages and an outstanding nature.
Our route, divided into three stages, will run from Logroño, the capital, to Ezcaray (a small town in an absolutely stunning location) through ochre-colored vineyards, walled medieval villages (some of them declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO) and high-mountain areas.
We’ll ride 342 kilometres (150 mi) and climb 3,804 meters (12,480 ft).
