Itinerary description
Whites Creek to the wilderness sign is one of the nicest easy hikes in the area. Year around flowing creek, pine trees, easy uphill grade. The trail head has a basic pit restroom.
If you want longer and more elevation gain, the trail has connectors to Galena Park and Jones Creek to the south, and to Dry Pond and Thomas Creek to north.
In winter the road to the Whites Creek Trailhead is closed. So you have to walk in from Timberline road. That adds about 0.8 mile each extra than if you start at the trailhead parking lot. About 6 miles round trip.
