Itinerary description
A small but interesting hike close to Mpali.
It starts right from the hill on the left of Karavostasi beach, crosses the village and turns left to start going uphill, right after one passes under the national road.
Most of the trail is on uncharted path (or no path at all...).
The train is rocky and a little climbing (not difficult) on the rocks might be needed in order to continue.
The way down is somewhat tedious because of the steepness of the slope.
The view from both tops is very beautiful.
During summer is recommended to carry a lot of water.
Weather is hot and going up is tiring...

Следовать маршруту нереально. Если бы не помощь в выходе было бы тяжелее. За 5 лет вход перегородили фермеры. Вообще по маршруту 4 раза перелезал через заборы. Но в целом тяжеловато. Вход уже не актуален. Он чуть позже и попроще опять же из-за заборов.

Indeed, the trail was difficult to follow (almost five years ago). I clearly state this to the description when I say that the biggest part is on uncharted terrain.
I don't remember about the fences, but I'm sure you're right, as fences are everywhere in Creta.
So, if anyone follows the trail, they should definitely take into consideration both my description and your comment and adjust their expectations accordingly...

I guess you mean mountain Idi (Psiloritis). There are two main trails there, one longer, less steep and one shorter but steeper. I've done both. I think the longer one is more interesting. Recorded trails are ok in this case, at least they were back in 2015 when I did the trails. In any case, perhaps you should also search for a more recent recording.
Make sure to take a lot of water as the terrain is rocky and dry and the temperatures high.
