Itinerary description
Wadi Dahir (Wadi Sulfur) is located in Fujairah, not far from Dibba. It’s a moderate level family friendly hike with the attraction of some beautiful sulfur pools and caves. It’s an 8km loop trail winding through mountains, hills and valleys. It will take you about 4 to 5h to complete, taking time for photos and lunch. I personally loved this trail.
You can park your car (Sedan accessible) about 150 meters just off the highway (literally!) (25.541830, 56.160513). I started the trail from the left side of the parking (you will see a farm on your right). It will take you to the wadi and very soon to the gorgeous water pools and there amazing colors.
After the first km, the wadi is almost dry (in rainy season you can expect more water content).
You can just walk for another 1km and come back if you are looking for an easy hike (total 4-5km), or proceed to do the full loop which will be 8+ km.
The train is well marked with cairns and some arrow marks at some points. At 6.2 km, the wadi is going to the right side but you have to deviate from it and go straight up instead (25.555580, 56.156951). After walking about 700m, you pass a beautiful small lake formed by a dam with trees coming out of the water. Walk over the dam (25.553033, 56.159257) and go down. You will see some stairs. This road will lead you to the starting point. There are some sulfur pools also towards the end of the trail. Many people come by car at the bride point to take a picture (25.541830, 56.160513).
All together it is a beautiful loop, and I would highly recommend it.

Hi, we plan to do this trek in 2 days starting 8 am in the morning. Would normal trainers be ok or do we need good hiking shoes?
