Itinerary description
Steady and loooooong ascent up to the Balcon de Pineta, where you get views of Monte Perdido with ice and really crazy rock formations. Walk a relatively flat path to the Lago de Marmores with its shimmering blue water. Then climb up to the Tuca Roya refuge which also marks the border between France and Spain. The descent from the refuge is tricky as it’s a downhill climb with all limbs and some rocks aren’t very secure. Then it’s another loooong ascent and later descent to the picturesque Refuge de Espuguettes, where the hot chocolate is bomb.
