Itinerary description

Take bus from downtown Shenyang to Qipanshan Reservoir Lake, around 1 hour duration. The bus route progresses east along or near the Hunhe River. About half-way, the bus passes East Ching Tomb Historic Site and the "Bird Island" on the Hunhe River, where there is a bus stop. These locations could offer a full day of activity.

On this trip Guide Euping and I continued by bus to Qipanshan Reservoir Lake and walked around the lakeshore, where local fisherman were making some big catches.

Bus stop here. Looks like a very interesting area, riverside island trails - saved for another day.

Bus stop at Qipanshan Reservoir Lake

Got off bus near the east end of Qipanshan Reservoir Lake. Visited a local fishing spot with young men using modern casing equipment, some hauling in large fish. There are plenty of hiking options around the lakeshore and in the hills of Qipanshan Reservoir Lake Park.
