Itinerary description

Start on the Yung Shue O road walk up the road to the village and then continue on the coastal footpath to the delightful Sam Cheung village (there are two traditional restaurants here). Then take the main path inland up to an obvious col where a small overgrown path leads to the top of Shek Uk Shan.

From the summit there are great views towards Tolo harbour, Plover Cove park and mainland China to the north, sharp peak and Da Peng peninsula to the east, the islands near Sai Kung town in the south, and Ma On Shan and Tai Mo Shan in the west.

There any many paths to choose from to go south from the summit, eventually leading to Tai Mong Tsai road with busses and taxis back to Sai Kung and the city.
