Itinerary description
In this 5 days trekking to Machu Picchu (Salkantay trekking) we started in Challacancha and finished in Hidroeléctrica.
The fourth day, we started in Sahuayacu, and followed the route to the left from our lodge (Canela Café). At a point, we followed the signals to Machu Picchu (taking the right way) and continued to Hidroeléctrica (pic.1). There we followed the signals to Aguas Calientes (taking a path to the right), and in Aguas Calientes (pic.2) we looked forward to see the hospital (on the left side of the river).
The way is steep and unpaved.
