Itinerary description
In this 5 days trekking to Machu Picchu (Salkantay trekking) we started in Challacancha and finished in Hidroeléctrica.
The first day, we started in Challacancha, and followed the route to Soraypampa (pic.1), where we had lunch and where was our campsite. After lunch, we took the way going uphill to Humantay lake (pic.2), and came back on our foot to the campsite.
The route was steep at the beginning and also from the campsite to the lake. All was unpaved and easy to follow.
