Itinerary description

The trail starts from the village of Lagada moving West downwards till Kato Potamos. Then it starts ascending SouthWest passing Ano Potamos and continuing until the intersection to Halara Beach. From there after 15 min on a relatively flat area you arrive to Asphodilitis and start ascending again until you meet the asphalt road to Chora (intersection to the monastery of Hozoviotissa). From there you follow the dirt road uphill. At some point about 10 min after the caves we left the trail and ascended towards Profitis Ilias Summit walking between the rocks. It takes about 15 min to reach to the summit and enjoy the view of the whole island. From there you need about 50 min descending following the piles of rocks (we didn't as some of them were not obvious in the beginning of the trail) until you arrive to Chora. Make sure to have 1 lt of water per person (or more) during summer months.
