Trail starts at Katapola port.
After passing the bakery on the left, move about 100 m. and turn left. Move uphill leaving the village, first on a small trail and next to cement and asphalt roads. Leaving the ruins of ancient Minoa on your left, you walk for 15 min until you get to Agios Ioannis Prodromos. Continue straight until you arrive at Lefkes. At the entrance of the village there is a trail descending to Agioi Saranta beach. Leaving the beach behind you move uphill until you meet the ruins of an old stone house. Moving straight, you cross both rusty fences and then turn left to the trail that descends until a little cement bridge. Then up again until the intersection to Kamari. From there the trail becomes relatively flat for a while. It takes about 30 min to get to ancient Arkesini. Next you ascent about 25 min until Vroutsis village. You cross the village and turn right at the church following the dirt road (tip: the food at kafeneio Klimataria is amazing). Leaving Vroutsis you move W-SW 15 min until you approach Rahoula village. From there you need about 20 more min until you reach to Arkesini (tip: the tavern "Ston Pirgo", on tour left when you arrive to Arkesini has also exceptional food).
