Itinerary description
We started our hike at Horsh Hiyata trail following the red and white signs. The trail is well maintained inside the forest, with several potential camping areas. It passes through many shelters on the way. After the forest part, we headed to Chahtoul on a sandy road, and entered the Chahtoul Camping area. Be aware that this is a private property. After visiting the camping site, we climbed all the way up to the top of the rocks on the top of the mountain. This part is risky for unexperienced hikers. We then headed back down and took a trail, part of which was made in collaboration with the USAID (check signs in waypoints). We trail runned down the valley to get back to the starting point.
I added some pictures in the waypoints for some visual geographical localization while enjoying the trail.
On your way back after the end of the hike, you can pass by car to Nabaa Farah in Qattine to refill your bottles (you can find the location on Google maps). Enjoy hikers!

I did this trail, very clear and helpful, thank you!
Thanks for reviewing :) glad you enjoyed!
Was surprised by how beautiful this hike was! I wasn’t expecting something so picturesque this close to town. The ruins were also very charming. The only issue is that the trail is hard to find when it goes through the forest as it is quite overgrown.
