Itinerary description
Haledova staza - adventure track :)
We went kind of this track from Sacrifice to main entrance/exit of Petra the evening before with a local.
It was really beautiful and scenic. Sunset added some special colors.
So here we tried to walk the same track by memory but this time in opposite direction - from Petra entrance to the Sacrifice and bonus visit to high view to Treasury (where you can make pictures of Treasury from above with out having to deal with local guides to take you there). Then just went by stairs down to Treasury..
This track is not open for tourists, it is not on maps and if you try to go the same direction they will try to stop you.
We were told that many tourists got lost in the past and that is why it is closed and forbidden. However, locals use it all the time.
The evening before we walked with a local who showed us several signs engraved in the rocks: footprints, snake, camel caravan, .. However, we took some different turns and didn't see any again in this track.
Preferred path would be from Sacrifice to the view to Treasury than go partially back and continue in the direction of Petra entrance/exit. Preferred time of day later afternoon (~5 o'clock).
