Itinerary description
Borderline 'Gluggaveđur' today (-5C with cold northern wind). Boring first 30min on the road then steep incline up SW face onto slowly rising plateau towards Grímansfell summit. Great views all around as far as Þingvellir, Hengill and Bláfjoll. Steady drop down north face from summit and along river to Helgufoss. Great little waterfall with lovely walk alongside river all the way to Laxness' house. A refaire with southern ridge loop.
