Itinerary description
Nice and easy trail. A good view to the mountains Esja, Skálafell, Botnssúlur, Hlöðufell, Hekla, Tindfjöll, Hengill (Skeggi), Vífilfell, Keilir from the top. A litle part of Þingvallavatn and Reykjavik also. We got a good weather, clear sky and no wind. It is possible to take a marked path all the way to the top and get over the river on a bridge.
