Mount Říp (456 m above sea level) is a must have for every Czechophilus or, if we prefer, Czech scouts. This place is very important in Czech history because of the legend that the mountain and its surroundings were the place where the first Slavs settled together with their ancestor Czech.
Geographically, it is a hill visible from a distance with a Romanesque rotunda. st. George on the summit, located about five kilometers south of the city of Roudnice nad Labem.
The hill has attracted attention from the earliest times and was an important landmark on the plain. At the top, there is also a historic and active shelter, where, among other things, we will get a delicious home-made cake and a compote of hand-picked raspberries. We can also drink Czech beer, and there is also a good snack.
