DESCRIPTION
Take the boat from Slussen or Nybroplan to these historic islands, known since 1381 as Fjäderholmarna. During the 25-minute boat trip, you can enjoy spectacular views of Stockholm from the waters of Salt- sjön bay. Upon coming ashore on the island, soak up the archipelago atmosphere as you stroll past docks, picturesque buildings and rocky cliffs bathed in sunshine.
The island offers a broad selection of handi- crafts, good restaurants in a range of price classes, as well as conference and party venues. Savour delicious food and drink with a breath-taking view, or perhaps try a beer tasting and pétanque tournament in the garden. You can also take a “praline promenade” around the island’s historic sights, forge a nail or try your hand at glass blowing in the craftsmen’s village.
