Itinerary description
An excellent walk along the Slea Head Drive near Dingle Co. Kerry.
Parked at the Blasket Centre near Dunquin and for the first part followed the way-marked trail.
If you are familiar with the film “Ryan’s Daughter” this walk will be all the more interesting as one passes the ruin of the old school house in that Robert Mitchum movie.
Take extra care along the path between 4.6km and 5.5km as there is a lot of coastal erosion and this is not part of the official walk (one can easily skip this section and instead follow the road shown on the map and join the trail shown here at the 6.6km juncture) .
Thereafter, join the way-marked way with a little diversion at 7.8km to take in a bonus view from the highest point en-route.
