Itinerary description
recording is backwards, from the pond back to the parking lot. One way is 2.6 miles, so round trip is about 5.2 miles and about 970 ft elevation. Switchback was tiring to me on the way up.

The creek appears to stay in the shade much of the winter. So even though the north side of the canyon was sunny and dry and pleasant, it was damn cold along the trail. There was mucho ice in the creek, and a small dusting of snow was lingering for weeks without melting.
