Itinerary description
Beautiful and easy trail, great views from the peak, you can see Pirin and even Rila mountains. We took our time up there and also picked up wild berries on our way back which were abundant on the very trail. There is also a natural pond called Orlovi Oci (eagle's eyes, because eagles are its most frequent visitors) right bellow the summit but unfortunately it was dry. They say it used to be filled up during whole year by underground water and rainfall, but climate change has its effect. Also there are a two waterfalls along the trail but they were also dry and neglected. The evil oligarchy built some small hydropower plants for their own profit and put the water in pipes, which also decline the fish population drastically. I hate this country but I love our nature. We must fight to protect it!
