Little profit can they bring.
In days of defilement such as these
People have little time for leisure,
While their: activities are great.
Waste not your time in studies,
But practice the Essential Teachings."
To repay the bounty of my Guru
And conquer the fear of death,
I meditated hard and resolutely,
Converting into blessings my wrong thoughts.

To my capable disciples will I transmit
The inner Experience and blessings; to you
Will I impart the profoundest Pith-Instructions;
With their practice, you will spread the Buddhist

You soon will reach the State-of-Relaxation.

every Repa here." Accordingly Rechungpa [did so, and] prepared the
tea. Milarepa continued, "Now we need some seasoning." Saying this,
he made water into the pot, making the tea extraordinarily delicious.
The Ghadamba Lama then asked the Jetsun to bless him, and,
for the sake of establishing a Dharmic relationship, to give him some
